Cain Healing

A Brief History

John Cain, a successful blacksmith by trade, retired in 1972 to devote his time to healing. From the ‘laying on of hands’ and absent healing he progressed to develop his own method of healing.

After holding regular healing clinics at Bromsgrove Civic Hall, he opened his own healing centre in 1979 from his home in Birkenhead. John passed to the higher life in the 1980s but returned from the spirit side to Pauline Thornton, as she was to be his protégé. Pauline and her partner Chris continued to administer healing using the ‘John Cain’ method.

In June 05, on the instruction of Spirit, Pauline began to instruct Tom and Kathryn in the methods of Cain Healing. Kathryn is chairman of the SNU Healing committee.

The Method Of Healing

The healing lasts for approximately 45 minutes, during which time the patient lays on blankets on the floor, or for those unable, sit in a comfortable chair.

Healing is effected using John Cains’ method, whereby the patient receives an altered state of consciousness or more simply finds themselves in a deep state of relaxation, through listening to relaxing music. At all times the patient is fully aware of his/her surroundings. Whilst in this state, the spirit healers are able to draw close and assist the patients own healing capabilities.

Sensations and emotions during the healing are numerous and vary from patient to patient.

None are harmful and may include;

Feeling intense heat or cold throughout or around specific areas of the body.
Experiencing a floating or falling sensation.
A temporary inability to move eyelids or lips.
Internal manipulations or minor electrical sensations.
Uncontrolled (not uncontrollable) shaking, vibrations or movements
Some feel nothing, except a feeling of peace and tranquillity.

N.B. Achievement of ‘the altered state’ is not essential in order to receive healing.

We are endeavouring to provide a demonstration of ‘Cain Healing’ in the Medway area, the exact venue and date is yet to be determined. Although healing is given freely and with love, certain costs are incurred such as travel, accommodation, insurance etc. As a result a small charge is made, the exact amount has yet to be calculated, as this is determined greatly by numbers attending.
