Dreams.

Dreams are very personal things, so although there are many dream dictionary's available today, I would always make the suggestion that before you go ploughing through other peoples interpretations you look to yourself for answers to your dreams.

The main keys to Dream interpretation are :-

1.    Keep a dream diary. When you wake, write down everything you remember while it is still fresh in your mind.

2.    Think and note how you felt about each place and event within your dream.

3.    Note whether the dream was in colour, black and white, real or cartoon type images.

4.    Go back to your dream diary and think about your personal symbolism, for instance to me a cat may symbolise a person who I cannot completely rely upon, to you a cat may be the person who brings you warmth and comfort.

5. The "where" of a dream can be really important, if it was a place you already know and feel at home with then it should be talking about your own inner security and happiness, if it is an unknown place make sure you write down every detail you remember, this can be crucial to proving a precognitive dream or vision of the future.

6.     Dreams of flight and invisibility are always very personal, so note how you felt about the activity and how you were feeling in general about you and your circumstances when you slept.

7.     Dreams of death are usually linked to either a birth or the recreation or rebirth of you as a person, so don't let them freak you out!

8.    We need to remember that dreams are often our brain being unable or unwilling to switch off from the things it has been dealing with since the last sleep or downtime period, and as so normally reflect on what was happening around us the previous day.  I have found that quite often my dream will relate to a conversation I was having around lunchtime of the same day.

9.     If you want to dream and remember, but don't seem to have the knack of doing both try eating either cheese or drinking some warm milk before bed. Banana's are also supposed to be good but I haven't tried them myself.

10.    If plagued by nightmares, write them down or tell someone about them. The easiest way to stop a dream replaying over and over is to deal with it. Obviously if your re-occurring dream is particularly pleasant don't tell a soul!
