Tarot Card of the Month - January The Fool.

Do you remember your first day at school?  Do you remember just how excited you were, you were grown up now! You didn't know about bullies and homework and were so eager to leave mum's side and skip down that path to your new life of new friends and endless knowledge.

That is the fool in a nutshell, eager, excited, raring to go, yet a little naive of what he will be truly facing, of the enormity of the task he has set himself.  The fool is not foolish, he knows that he has thought this through and truly wants this new beginning, but he doesn't truly understand what it will be like because he has never experienced this before, only imagined it.

When we see the fool in a reading he brings out the qualities of excitement and enthusiasm in us, a kind of wonder lust or desire for new horizons, and good luck to him, the path won't be magically ironed out before him it will be rough and hard going in places, largely when you least expect it, but it will be fun, an adventure and that is just what you have been craving for, or you wouldn't have picked him!
