God Within

That which God is I am also

Deep within my inner self, my soul

There dwells that God

In essence of the love and light

Which guides my soul, in life

What I am, God is also

What God is, I am also.

To find the truth

The light and source

I do not search the heavens

Or seek the idols made by man

I look within the sanctum of my soul

And feed upon the fullness of the light

That will, if I accept,

Guide my path

But, when the light seems dim

I know it is the human shadow

In the world of Man

The light still shines bright

Though sometimes I will turn away

And then my soul cries our “Return!”

For God remains within and waits

The God in which I am

And I in whom is God
