Palmistry.

Palmistry is the art of reading hands, although some people also read heads, and feet, some just read the thumb!

Some basic tools in Palmistry are outlined below:-

The Hand in General.

Look at the size shape texture and flexibility of the hand.

Is the skin smooth or rough? Do the fingers bend back well under slight pressure or are they stiff and unrelaxed? Is the hand warm or cold? What shape is the hand? Square, Oval, Tapering, Round? each of these elements will point to the general temperament of the person to whom the hand belongs.

Look at the fingers, are they straight or do they have a tendency to bend inwards or outwards, are they square ended, short or long, are the fingers slim and tapering or short and well rounded?

Now what would you think If I said this man has small strong unbending square hands, they are rough in texture but the finders are plump and finish in square nails.

Down to earth bloke, knows what he wants, tendency to be stubborn? Speaks his mind openly and is willing to make his point............... See wasn't hard was it.

Now look at your hands and see what they say about you......

Long fingers are supposed to represent a psychic mind, and inquisitiveness about the unknown.

Knobbly knuckles should be a sign of a good mathematician.

Square palms give someone a down to earth approach to life.

A waisted thumb gives tact and diplomacy.

The angle of thumb to palm when placed palm down in a relaxed position shows the openness of a person and their ability to try new things and adapt to new situations, the wider the angle the more receptive to new ideas!

Blow away some Myths.

Forget anything you have read about a broken life line indicating an early death! Totally NOT TRUE! It can indicate a complete change in lifestyle or direction!

If you haven't got a Fate line you ARE NOT unlucky!  I admit it took some thirty years for me to develop one at all but I certainly had some dealings with luck in one form or another over those years!

Hands do not change and the lines are constant. This is another urban Myth that is incorrect, your hands do change and the lines upon them grow and change with you, so if you don't believe me take a hand print now and take another in two years time, the lines will have changed I promise!

If your head line curves down towards your wrist on the opposite side of your palm, you are likely to suffer from bad memory in old age! Either this is totally true (In that none of us is as intellectually agile in our senior years as we once were) or totally misguided leading as it does towards the mount of the moon which should inspire wisdom and spirituality.

Handy Tip.

The easiest way to see all the lines really clearly on your hand without getting ink everywhere is to dust them over with some talc and rub your palms together for a bit, then tap them off and you will see every line in detail.

More to follow..........
