Ever since I was young I’ve wanted to be a “ ghost hunter “ exploring the unknown has always intrigued me, then the time came for me to start developing my Mediumship. I believe having a medium with you when you are exploring the paranormal is always a great benefit, whether it be to feel the change of energies in the room or just giving your fellow investigators that reassurance that they made need, it is a shame that people believe the films they see about ghosts and spirits and if they come to a ghost hunt they may be “possessed” . I don’t believe in possession myself, nor do I believe that souls get trapped in buildings or items, I’d like to think that if you were in my house in 200 years time talking about me that I would come down to be a bit nosey and this is what I believe they are doing.

There are 2 different types of haunting's, the first is just a residual haunt, which means the spirit is not there but the memory of them being there is, and any traumatic incidents can be played over and over like a tape player, this is why the white lady may be seen walking down the stairs but you can not communicate with her as she is only a memory.

Then we have the intelligent haunting's which are the most evidential, you can communicate with these spirits in so many different ways. We like to try different techniques on our ghost hunts, we often start with a Séance which really isn’t anything to be scared of but an amazing way to communicate. We then split into three groups with myself, Su Smith and Emma Cole who are also mediums taking a group each, we will try and communicate with the spirits by asking them to knock once for yes and twice for no or we will use the more modern tools, a digital recorder which we can sometimes catch electronic voice phenomena or E.V.P for short which are the voices of the other world, we set up camera’s in rooms where we know that objects may move by themselves and we use a k2 meter which has lights on it they light up if an electronic magnetic field draws close to it.
