StrengthStrength, so often depicted as a woman over coming a lion. And justly so, this card demonstrates that there are strengths to be found in feminity. Most women will fight tooth and nail for what they want to achieve, they are persistent creatures, who just don't give up unless it proves to be totally hopeless. The female will use whatever she has in her arsenal to achieve her goals, and when this card comes up, it would suggest that to move a situation forward you need to approach it from a female angle. Don't be afraid to gently persuade someone that it was their idea in the first place. Don't feel that it is wrong to play the helpless female card and bat your eyelashes a bit, and if all else fails be persistent but gentle and ask for help. When its a woman on the card, whatever you do Don't be aggressive, Don't force yourself into a corner where you feel that you have to go it alone. Strength is also sometimes a man over coming the lion, and when it is then it would say, don't be afraid to approach the situation in a more aggressive way. Let your masculinity flow out, lose your rag, use brute force, or even do it your self. Strength talks about having a determined character, someone who constantly picks strength will seem to have more than their fare share of trials in life, generally because life would just be too dull for them if they didn't have something to fight for. Strength normally augers well in a reading, unless it is immediately beside the hanged man when all that strength and energy will be wasted on an immovable object. If Strength seems to be un-linked to any surrounding cards or situations, it may just be stating that the person who has chosen the card, needs to identify their own strengths and work with them.
