How can we ever understand how much they hurt, how sad they are inside?

How can we ever contribute enough to help those left survive?

A giant wave swept away their land, their lives, their homes and their loves,

And we cry as a world united aghast, in shock, devastated by this loss.

Say a prayer in your heart, a prayer for all of those people

The mothers, fathers, children, who have lost everything but their lives

Give all you can to aid them. To help them rebuild their future.

Send not just your money but also your love and prayers of healing.

Please remember that giving money today will help today, but they will still need help tomorrow.

Once the shock has worn off for those of us lucky to have not lived through this experience,

And the news reports are following new news, we must not forget.

Millions of people will still be suffering, struggling to make a new life.

If like me you sat on a comfortable sofa cuddling your children close

When you heard this dreadful Tsunami had destroyed so much.

Each time you hold your children close and think just how lucky you are
