Angry?
Don’t let go of the anger,
Don’t act on the pain,
Let it flow
Let it go
Let it drain.
Don’t strike out on impulse,
Don’t give in to the rage,
Let it pass
I won’t last
Like the rain.
Make believe you don’t feel it,
Make believe you don’t care,
It is in the past
Not meant to last
Free again.
And in time you’ll find there’s a reason
In time you’ll see where it lead,
And you’ll be
Fine and free
With no shame.
When life comes and slaps you a good one,
When you feel you’ve been kicked in the face,
Don’t react
Hold it back
Wait for the change.
Because tempers cool like wet embers,
Humans all learn through our pain,
But we’re strong
We go on
To learn again.
If you throw out your weapons in anger,
You release all your pride with that pain,
Then you’re lost
Count the cost
Endless days.
I have fought many solitary battles,
I have screamed at the wind all in vain,
I felt strong
When wronged
But again.
I have learned an invaluable lesson,
Revenge is a twist of the fates,
Once released
There’s no peace
Only shame.
For guilt is a terrible burden,
What was then, might not be today,
So you see
To be free
Release the pain.
When anger is boiling inside you,
And it hurts like a knife through your guts,
Don’t give up
On the love
Lighten up
Times get tough
Wait a day
Think again
Forget your pride
Let go inside
Release the pain
There is no shame
Set you free
Learn to be
Love again.
To all light beings everywhere struggling
with a human identity.
Love
