The Connection Within.

I wanted to talk briefly about connecting with spirit etc. From my own experience there have been times when I have felt very frustrated that my connection doesn’t seem to be the all singing, all dancing, full colour surround sound type, as popularized by films such as the sixth sense.

I remember one day in particular when I said to a dear friend “I don’t know why I bother, I just can’t do it, and the harder I try the worse it becomes!”

The advice he gave to me has been really pivotal to my spiritual progression since that day.

He said “ OK, first, relax! Second, open your chakras. Third,remember you are the essence of spirit, that your energy and the universal energy is all one. Now open to that connection and see what you get!”

It worked.

Now I have come to accept the gift I have is not extraordinary, but within all of us. That some are more visually perceptive, some more audially, and some, like me, just “Know” stuff.

Don’t flog yourself and berate yourself for not having what you want right now, rejoice in what you have, explore it.

Inside each and every one of us is a treasure chest stocked full of connections, each waiting to be explored to its full.

My gratitude will always go out to my friend whenever I pass on his advice, without whom I would still be trying WAY TOO HARD.
